The details on Abbie's announcement!
Ok, I know I probably caught you off guard, but I had to wait until our families knew to put the news on the blog! Anyhoo, the details: Bellybean is due on the 30th of May (that's a Tuesday). I am 6 1/2 weeks, so I only have another 5 weeks until out of the "danger zone". I had my first OB appointment on Friday (Andrew was actually able to be there), and saw a fabulous heartbeat (then she turned up the volume so we could hear it!) at 130 beats per minute. The heart starts beating sometime in the 5th/6th week, so that is a great reading for 6 weeks, 3 days! The baby that we lost back in March had a heart beat of only 118-120 at almost 7 weeks, so this is a huge improvement! Baby is measuring right on target (about the size of a grain of rice) and my OB says everything looks perfect! For those of you who know my horrible experience with the German docs when I had my miscarriage, I finally found a GREAT doctor! The practice is all women, and all she wants to do is reassure me that everything is going as it should! She has me scheduled for ultrasounds every 2 weeks until I pass the 12 week mark just to show me that everything is perfect and ease my fears! She is also perfectly ok with Abbie coming to the appointments so I don't have to find childcare-- they even keep gummy bears in the reception! YAY! We are super excited-- this kiddo might allow us to see eachother on our 3rd anniversary (we haven't had one together yet!)... Andrew's parents had their 2nd child on their wedding anniversary! Oh, and I don't know yet if I'll be delivering in the US or here in Germany-- depends on whether the Army hospital 1 1/2 hours from here is going to be taking patients once the guys deploy. That will be determined in January/February. Anyhoo, that's all for now! I need some name ideas, so we can decide before Andrew goes to Iraq (we will know if it's a girl or boy as early as mid-november!). In the pics, the baby is in between the two "+" signs (on the first one).

my sister julie is 4 months pregnant also! her 5-year-old reagan got a shirt that says Big Sis on it, so they went and had announcements made and sent out. except my sister didn't know where my address was, so i didn't get one! i was informed instead by my parents congratulating me on being an aunt again :P
also i just now saw where you replied to my camera questions on your other new baby. you didn't tell me what the optical zoom is (or combined w/ digital, i spose i'd settle with that info). sorry i misspelled abbie's name, i have a friend who spells it with a Y :P
